What to Expect?
The therapist will typically use a combination of various strokes, including effleurage (long, smooth strokes), petrissage (kneading), and tapotement (tapping), to massage the body and stimulate the lymphatic system. This process also breaks down fat cells to reduce the appearance of cellulite.
Wood therapy may be uncomfortable at first. Slight bruising is normal since our bodies aren’t typically used to this type of treatment. However, this treatment is completely noninvasive and no down time is expected. How many Sessions will I need?
We recommend 10 sessions, twice a week to see maximum results. We highly encourage pairing wood therapy with laser (ultrasonic) cavitation to see optimal results. Cavitation uses ultrasonic waves to liquify fat in cells making the wood therapy 2x more effective.
